I am a largely varied music lover. My heart belongs to contry, the real country before the pop sound entered into it. But, I listen to everything from the Andrews Sisters to The Beatles, to Reba, to Big Band soujnds. When I heard Dwight Yoakam a few years back. I knew I had to have anything this man made. This is real music. I want Steel Guitar I want heartbreak songs. He is largely influenced by Buck Owens. If you don't own "Dwight Sings Buck"... just purchase it. Wonderful album. I could listen to this man sing all day long. What a wonderful sound he generates.

I've always enjoyed an eclectic mix mix of music that spans everything from the Beatles and the Grateful Dead to The Beat and Cross Canadian Ragweed. Dwight Yokum holds a special place in my collection and with my discovery of this album is a welcome addition. I especially liked the covers for Elvis, The Beatles, and the Grateful Dead. Truckin is a classic!
