one of the most underrated bands and most talented as well..I wasn't around back then but from my dads collection growing up as a kid I loved them! Whenever i show 10cc to anybody who's never heard them, they are simply amazed. I recommend them to people who really love to listen to music with an open mind and great melodies..much respect!!

10cc had a rather skewed way of looking at things...and a sometimes rather skewed approach to their music...and the two sides of 10cc never came together quite as well as on the brilliant "Sheet Music". Side 1 of Sheet Music is perfect; one of the absolutely best album sides ever...EVERY song is great! Special nods to "The Worst Band In the World" (but we don't give a...), the beautiful "Old Wild Men" (...waiting for miracles), and of course the hyperactive "Clockwork Creep" (...must keep my date to detonate!). Side 2 mostly continues the streak, especially with the rockin' "Silly Love" (toupees and threepees?) and "Oh Effendi". Overall, I would REALLY give this album 4 1/2 stars. A must have 70's album...also highly recommend their album "How Dare You"!

One of the formative albums of my youth - I wore this one out listening to it over and over again. I searched for it on itunes when I first joined but no luck. Glad it finally made it here. All I can say about it is if you like Phish, Primus and other such bands you'll probably get a kick out of this album. It's clever, witty, superbly played and produced - a rare treat - Hope you enjoy it as much as I did all those years ago.

There's a style for just about everyone here - from power pop ("The Wall Street Shuffle", "Silly Love") to semi-maudlin sentimentality ("Old Wild Men", "Somewhere In Hollywood") to the downright bizarre ("Clockwork Creep"). Just about all of it works due to the band's clever lyrics and musical inventiveness.

Before 10cc lost half their band (Godley and Creme) and hit it big with bubblegum pop like "the Things we do for love" they were creating arch art-pop gems like "The Wall Street Shuffle", "bet you'd sell your mother!" couldn't be truer 30+ years on. Every lick in their terse arrangements is pitch perfect. This might not be the most accessible 10cc album but is easily the most entertaining, and bears repeated listenings. Todays young music fans that are dusting off their parents Queen albums would be wise to check these guys out. A more clever, make that brilliant, foursome never existed... Yeah! and includes that band back in the sixties!
