There are many GREATS in the country music field and Bobby Bare ranks equal to any and all of them for skill and "heart" in both song writing and performance. As the other reviewers prove, there are many others like myself who do not under rate him.

This album is full of memories for me. I was in high school when this came out. I came home from school and there sat my father, eyes closed, leaning back in his recliner listening to these songs. As a senior in high school I had NO interest in country music but my father made me and my siblings all sit down and listen to all of these songs. My love of Bobby Bare and his music began that day. Like others that have posted here, I have been looking for "Singin' In The Kitchen" and I finally found it on this collection of classics. What great memories I have from that song. All of us kids, as well as Mother and Father, got out a pan and spoon and danced around the house singing along. My Father is gone now, but these songs, every one of them, hold precious memories for me. Lots of life lessons to be learned from some of these songs, some are simply fun. If you close your eyes and listen to Rosalie's Good Eats Cafe, you will see what a vivid picture Bobby Bare paints with his words. It's easy to relate to every person in that cafe. I can't imagine anyone not loving Bobby Bare and this great collection of music!

I have looked for some of the music on this Bobby Bare CD for a long time. When my children were small, we sang many of the songs on the album, we loved Bobby Bare! I received my Ipod for my 66th birthday in February, so what a surprise when I found this album in the ITunes store! This is an album filled with happy and fun songs, it is great for all ages. Listening to it is guaranteed to brighten your day.

I grew up a child of the 70's listening to my dad's LP of the first 14 songs (originally on the album). I was so happy to see it is on iTunes, and with the bonus songs 15-30. Especially love "Daddy What If, The Winner, Rest Awhile, and Rosalie's Good Eats Cafe". Oh heck, I just love them all. Good story songs. Hooray for Bobby Bare!
