This is the song that brought first place to Serbia on Eurovision contest couple of years ago. It was an amazing performance . Molitva means Prayer in Serbian.

So the song is beautiful but doesn't "Molitva" mean "Prayer"?

Eurovision song contest airs in the USA on TVE Internacional (Spanish channel), live and then a rerun late at night. This channel is on satellite and digital cable in the USA. I've been watching it on this channel since 2002.

Such a beautiful song, especialy in the original language. I'm sad that BBC America doesn't broadcast the eurovision contest. There are some really good songs in there, like 2008's winner.

This is why Eurovision is more popular than MTV Music Awards. When will America learn that it isn't all about Hollywood?

I saw this during the 2007 Eurovision contest, and was floored by the song and performance. This is a European song with great vocals, and the fact that you can get three language versions is pretty cool....... The Artist is huge in the EU and Balkans, so give this one a download. If you have not seen the Eurovision contest, try youtube - it's a riot, because you get all these distinct cultures and countries voting for their favorite artists, and some vote for their neighbor countries based on historical ties and language... it's how ABBA got started!!!
  • What a Shame this won't be big in the US

It really is a shame that this voice will never be huge in the United States. Marija Serifovic has one of the best, untampered voices I have ever heard. Her heart wrenching ballad, "Molitva" (in English, "Destiny"), just adds to her talent. If you don't want to buy the whole album, at least purchase numbers 2 and 3; those are the translated English version (2) and the original Serbain version (3).
