These are very pretty songs which are not over-produced. Victoria Bergsum has a soft pretty voice with is very original. The album is nice however it is one-sided. There are no fast or upbeat songs on the album so it is important to be in a mood for simple melodic music to listen to this album.

i love this album! victoria's voice is so amazing-beautiful. absolutely wonderful
my favorite songs are julia, Too Young, only yesterday, lost and found and Open Field.
But, you should definitely buy the WHOLE CD. It's just that good! also check out the concretes (unfortunately, they were better with VB, so i would get there older CDs-pre 2006)

Okay so I'm going to see the a "Taken by Trees" people tonight with all my friends at the MFA in Boston and I was wondering if they were any good and after buying some of there ssongs I guess you could say they are okay. I mean they are very mellow and it's like yeah let me wave a carrot stick in the air and drink some celery juice. Let's just say they are very pure!

Victoria Bergsman has been around much longer than "Young Folks"! She was the original voice for The Concretes (band in Sweden) and I was afraid I would never hear of her again once she was no longer with them. I love this album and am so excited for more to come!
