Emma's music reminds me of a very early Mates of State with Regina Spektor involved. I may be biased because I love female vocalists with some twee sound to them, but her voice is fun, puts me in a better mood, and the music itself makes you wiggle in your chair a bit. It's great music to study to, read, clean the apartment, drive, ride my bike to, and can't wait to put it on while cooking a meal to make the food taste sweeter. I recommend this album!!

I ran into her myspace and guess what?...Glad I did. I'm always skeptical at first because it is hard to find good material in the indie section. Because people think they can just create music just like that. It is not that simple. You must have a good concept and composition. Her voice really caught my attention and her songs mean a lot also. These were enough to win me over. She is overall a musical genius with a charming personality. I should know because I met her.

So soothing and smooth, with profound truth, Emma has created what I hope is the first in a long line of beautiful collections. I found her songs online as a few mp3s in the "emerging" section of the networking sites mentioned above. Love it! Unique and yet familiar and comforting...
  • She is amazing!!

I really like Emma Wallace. Her music is beautiful and meaningful to me. I like her music so much. I'm bummed though because she has some awsome songs like "Bathsheba's Psalm" and it's not on itunes...I think. Overall she is wonderful and has a great voice!

The simplicity and directness of her lyrics and the naivitee of her voice indeed remind me of Astrud Gilberto in her early years. I am still infected by the memory of her performance. Listening to her CD brings it all back in its pure, raw and lovely fullness. If you like the CD you'll love her live. And she is a lovely person as well.
