this is one of the best albums of 2007 i thought 1:Everybody Know Me - nice single, straight banger (5/5) 2:Bite Down - definately a get drunk/high song (4.5/5) 3:Say What's On Your Mind - another banger, gets you pumped (5/5) 4:Nothing Is Promised - another get drunk/high track (4/5) 5:We Ready - my favorite on the album... man they can't stop making these banger! (5/5) 6:Choppa's - meeting up with the west coast for this = banger (4.5/5) 7:Block Boyz - probably the second best song on the album... this is krazy with the system in the car! (5/5) 8:We Ridin' - makes you want to bump this all around the hood (4.5/5) 9:Paper - teaming with the boss makes this hot, banger (4.5/5) 10:Back Up N Da Chevy - the hook is krazy on this banger (5/5) 11:Table Dance - not to sure about this look for the boyz n da hood (especially zoe) but t-pain made a nice hook (4.5/5) 12:We Thuggin' - get high track (4.5/5) 13:No Haters Allowed - probably my least favorite, it's a little too soft (4/5) so overall this album is for banging it in your system

Ok first off you guys are sleeping on Big Gee.. Jody Breeze is stupid sick tho i'm not even going to lie about that one.. But Big Gee is the only rapper who uses food in his metaphors, which is basically stating that they are hungry and that they're eating and are going to continue to eat. You can't knock them on that. Now as for the songs ok some I'll skip but to me my favorite Tracks are "Say whats on your mind" "We Ridin" "Paper" "Table Dance" and "Choppas" Hip Hop is pretty much gone so I don't consider alot of todays artist HipHop artist, I just see them as people who made music into a hustle but I do respect alot of the older southern rappers because they actually have a message in their lyrics. But Like i said before Don't sleep on Big Gee But Jody Breeze is the shyt... Just listen to Big Gee he's the one thats always saying something about "Zone 3" and "Edge Chamber, Head Banger" listen to his lyrics he's sick

Boyz N Da Hood is back with their second attempt, "Back Up N Da Chevy." Young Jeezy left the group, though, and was replaced with Gorilla Zoe. They both have raspy voices so lets see how the transition worked out. Track By Track: 1. Everybody Know Me: Thier first single and it's a good one. Though not the best on the album, the track is a banger and pure fire. 5/5 2. Bite Down: Another hot track here as Gorilla Zoe flows nicely. Jody Breeze drops a good verse and it's another great track. 4.5/5 3. Say What's On Your Mind: Decent banger here as the beat goes along with everyones flows. It's a good track that shows the groups talent. 4/5 4. Nothing Is Promised: Yung Joc joins in for the next two tracks. This one isn't a great one though. The chrous is annoying and dragged out. The verses are pretty good though so it's just alright. 3.5/5 5. We Ready: The best song on the album as Yung Joc's chorus owns. "N***a get outta line, then we gon f**k em up. F**k wit one of mine, then we gon draw blood." Awesome part and the whole track is incredible. 5/5 6. Choppa's: Ice Cube joins in for this banger. It's a hard hitting song that works out nicely. 4/5 7. Block Boyz: Another one of my favorite tracks as Yung Joc joins in with a few others for this next banger. Everyone flows nicely once again and the track becomes golden. 4.5/5 8. We Ridin': Another great song as Big Gee adds in a great verse. 4/5 9. Paper: Rick Ross joins in for this next banger in which, of coarse, talks about money. 4/5 10. Back Up N Da Chevy: The track that holds the same title as the album. I expected this to be a great song but it wasn't. It was decent but not what I expected. 3.5/5 11. Table Dance: My second favorite track on the album where T-Pain is allowed to flow amazingly. T-Pain is who makest the track incredbile and the rest do their things. 5/5 12. We Thuggin': A lackluster track that I'm not feelin. The worst one so far that just doesn't work out at all. Good beat but the track itself is bad. 2.5/5 13. No Haters Allowed: Another weak track that doesn't end the album on a good note. Similar to the last track in which doesn't show much talent. 2.5/5 All in all, Boyz N Da Hood, put out a solid sophmore album with a new club member. Though not nearly as good as Young Jeezy and who can't really be compared with him, Gorilla Zoe was the best one to replace him. The first album was much better because of that factor but this was a lot better than I expected. Other then the last two tracks, the album is worth listening to. Overall Score: 4/5
  • This is true gangsta rap at its finest.

The way i see it, Diddy accomplished what he had dreamed. You cant compare Boyz N Da Hood to NWA besides the fact that its a mix of different lyrical styles and sounds, creating a group above the rest. But cant compare because you cant compare oldschool vs newschool. However i would definatly have to say that i think Boyz N Da Hood is definatly a leading rap group for new age rap. this album is definatly worth buying.
