It's the same goddamn version of for whom the bells toll on every single on every single goddamn tribute album! It's not even any good, the guitar sounds like a 50 dollar Johnson with a POS ten watt amp

Welcome Home is...great. I don't get it- I clicked on the sample and I almost died after 5 seconds. But if you continue listening to it, the song actually meshes well with the techno sound. It's no Armin Van Buuren or Teisto, for sure, but it's not disgraceful. Nothing Else Matters is also good, and anything by Robert Trujillo or Jake Lee can't be bad.

Listening to these re-dos just makes fans want to scream, but I'll give it a go if it doesn't make my lunch come up. Bought Chuck Billy's Seek & Destroy cover because it chugs along at a nice clip. Vice Squad's Enter Sandman has a tempo problem 15 seconds into the sound clip. Give it a listen for a good laugh.

If you have diverse musical tastes, there are some very good interpretations of various Metallica songs to be found here. However, the music is all over the place as one might imagine from such a compilation. I have The Blackest Albums I - IV and while they aren't the best CD's I've ever bought as a whole there are definitely some great songs to be cherry picked from them. Some obviously disagree. Of course, if you don't like Industrial...guess what? You probably wont like an Industrial tribute. Go figure. If you are at least willing to form your own opinion I recommend you sample the tracks and see if there are any you like, buy the ones that sound cool to you and leave the rest behind. Simple. Gotta love iTunes.

Most of this is crap, but there are a few decent songs that deserve better than one star. I recommend buying (in descending order) 1 Nothing Else Matters (God Head is unbelievable, if you can tolerate techno) 2 St. Anger (not a bad cover), 6 Battery (very good), 10 Nothing Else Matters (very melodic, non-techno) 11 Seek And Destroy (Chuck Billy is incredible, buy it) 15 The Thing that Should Not Be (not bad, it’s a mix of dance beats with the song) 18 Nothing Else Matters (again) (singing is decent, and the trance cover is amazing) 25 Seek and Destroy (very cool, I really enjoyed it) These are songs that are okay, but I personally didn’t like. You can choose whether you’re crazy enough to buy them. 5 Welcome Home (meh) 7 Enter Sandman (mediocre singing, but decent cover) 12 For Whom The Bell Tolls (only buy if you love this song, not like it) 20 Creeping Death (it’s okay, but there are better versions out there with better singers, find them) 21 Fade to Black (trance, only buy it if that’s what you’re into) DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE The rest is garbage. Especially not anything made by Razed In Black.

I wanted to Kill myself after listening to the 30 sec demos of St. Anger and Sandman. How can you descrace sandman THAT BAD!? I only know like 8 guitar chords and I can play better than that..
