At first I was excited for the album as the band actually does have some great b-sides that can't be found on any album, including this one. THis is a strange collection of reworked tracks, live versions, and a few b-sides. My understands in that their record company wanted them to release a greatest hits album, but Cake convinced them not to. As a die-hard fan, this album felt like a big middle finger to their record company, but the only ones who really got screwed, where the loyal fans of the band. Some of the songs are fine, but it really just feels like leftovers they found on the floor.

I don't care for this band what so ever at all, but for some reason, the rehash of War Pigs is pretty cool. For that, I give you one star :)

Ha! I know a different version that changes bits. The trumpet for example is higher pitched, and it is sung differently. Gonna have to get used to this XD

I've loved them from the coffee houses in Stockton (Blackwater anyone?) to the Guitar Center sessions. Thank you boys. You've been at every major event in my young adult life and have made me realize what it's like to truly love a band and the music. <3

What dumb piece of crap wrote the album review? Clearly they have a very shallow view in music and don't understand Cake at all. This album is great, and i love it.

Cake is my favorite band, and I have to say, they did a fabulous job with the covers on this cd. When I first heard that they were doing covers, I thought that it couldn't possibly be any good, but they've really outdone themselves. As so many people have said before me, this cd is for a Cake fan, though. If you're new to Cake, try Fashion Nugget. That's one of their best albums, perfect for first time Cake listeners.
