I can remember catching myself singing along to Denver tunes as a teenager (in private contexts only!) and learning the meaning of guilty pleasures. What I don't remember is feeling the impact of the songs in my guts. If you can listen to the Red House Painters (Kozelek) version of "I'm Sorry" and not experience regret, you're a robot. This tribute is strong and works very well as a whole, but the RHP songs are gems on their own. If you like this sort of thing, check out "Nothing Left To Lose" - a Kris Kristofferson tribute.
