Cactus (a supergroup made up of rusty day from the amboy dukes, jim mccarty of wheels of detroit and the buddy miles express, and tim bogert & carmine appice of vanilla fudge) was one of the best heavy rock groups of the early seventies, and this album is just righteous balls-to-the-walls face-melting rock & roll from start to finish. Try out it for yourself and u really might enjoy it as much as i do.

I agree this is Cactus's best and it is all good no loser songs Jim McCarty is a fabulous guitarist and used very well the Ampeg Scrambler very tough pedal to master and he just screams on this album. Tim Bogert on bass was a master check out his work with Carmine Appice on drums they were great together. With Rusty Day on vocals and harp this band was hot great tunes I saw them Live in 1971 and they rocked louder than anyone I ever saw and played amazing Check out Long Tall Sally very heavy version on this LP as well as One Way Or Another the title track excellent if you like Zeppelin Mountain or Deep Purple you will dig this LP Recorded at Electric Lady Studios by no other than Eddie Kramer who worked with Jimmy Hendrix and did Led Zeppelin One as well Check this out and be amazed and enjoy!

big mama boogie, hometown bust, wow, they just got the deep hard rock going on. i had the vinyl back in the seventies and it's still cutting edge, some hard slammin' rock and roll at its best.

At last I can finally let my poor, tired vinyl of this get some rest before it's completely worn out. Thanks, iTunes, for the digital!
  • The best Cactus LP, period.
