I have to say this is one of the first bands that iTunes Genius has been right. It's exactly what I want: a laid back feel with energy. Very impressed with "Dropped". Will be listening for more of Phantom Planet!

in my world. Bands like this should be crawling all over the place. 'Do The Panic' was the first song I ever heard by them, and I was completely captivated by the chorus (it reminds me a bit of House of Heroes, the way they burst out in a catchy beat while they are singing extremely well-written lyrics), but the lead singer has a voice like Franz Ferdinand- if not better. Each song is original and full of diversity, and it is enough to keep you listening for hours.

I have never fallen in love with an album song by song, like I have with this one. Every song is absolutely brilliant. The lyrics are impressive and catchy and the music behind it is equally as astounding. I now can affirm, not only this album but this band, as one of my favorite things. Ever.
  • I've told everyone I can't stop listening to this album

Firts of all in my top 5 cd's of all time. They have a great sound its hard to believe they arn't Huge, but no one knows what good music is now. The first eight songs are the best first eight songs on any cd ever. This version of Do The Panic is way better than Negatives. If you Like Phantom Planet you will really enjoy this.
  • Sounds Familiar....

These guys sound almost exactly like a rawer version of Kasabian. (Look them up) I like them, they just seem to be copying another band. But nothing is really unique or new anymore anyway, right? Four thumbs up!
  • kind of a 4 1/2 really...

This is the first time I've ever not hesitated to rate an album 5 stars. Such a fantastic find! Phantom Planet has FINALLY found their sound and I absolutely love it. So do yourself a favor and buy it. Who knows, maybe you'll absolutely love it too. (There's no going around it, you will.)
