    When I was in college, I would lie on the floor between my huge stereo speakers and savor a spiritual journey via the rich, vibrant acoustic sounds of Master and the Musician. Nothing could wash off the stress of exams, financial worries and relationship angst like Keaggy's soulful guitar and the ethereal melodies in this album. I'm excited for it's revival, along with Keaggy's commentary.

    I love keaggy, and this album is a classic, but where is his, 'Wind and the wheat' album? That to me, was his best instrumental.

    Guitar work is incredible. Listen to the whole album at once, and your stressful day will be become much better. As my roomate in college told me, secular guitarists can make music as good as this, but not as beautiful as this.

    Truly great albums stand the test of time and "the Master and the Musician has truly stood the test of time. It conitnues to bless people, and touch them with the love of God through music. If you close your eyes, yoiu cna just feel God walking through the notes and Phil's playing here. Put it on, and be transported to His Presence. Simply one of the greatest CD's of all time. Because it has stood the test of time and most importantly, it has been truly blessed by God.

    Phil Keaggy's The Master and The Musician is one of the greatest albums of all time. Truly inspired by God, Keaggy's mastery of the guitar is divine and sublime and MUSIC in it's highest form. I would recommend this masterpiece to anyone who has ears ! This is a musical journey no one should miss. Praise The LORD !!

    This is my all-time favorite Phil Keaggy recording. This instrumental classic is one for "letting go" while you listen, and headphones certainly make the journey all the more pleasurable. "Follow Me Up" is still my favorite track, with its funk-disco rock combination. "Deep Calls Unto Deep" has some of the most chilling, haunting guitar sounds (volume swell technique) I've ever heard at the end of the track. "Mouthpiece" is in a category by itself. Enjoy!
