You all can now stop trying to make the next great hardcore album. I don't think there will ever be one to match this. Vocals=perfect, Drums=unpredictably sweet, bass lines=holdin it down for a circle pit at any time, Guitars=some of the funnest, nastiest riffs that when put together make an evil noodling throughout the album. Stay the way you are Shai Hulud. Everyone else just tries. Shai Hulud does.

Sorry jegher (two reviews below me) but if you think that Shai Hulud has watered down and sounds like typical metalcore then you need new ears. If you knew anything about the band you'd realise this. Shai Hulud is one of the most unique bands in the heavy music world and don't get enough recognition the way it is; don't let your misguided opinions worsen things for such a hard-working, honest band. This album is as amazing as all their other albums. Buy it.

shai hulud is a band that never kept there original sound. but they always got better and better but now with this cd there just trying to have kids dance at there shows. blood ill temepered is one of the most emotional hardcore cds ive herd in a looooooong time and when they were first out they were just straight old school hardcore but with this cd its just nothing new, another great band just going for mainstream metalcore. its terrible im sorry shai. you guys always did a new sound but for better...but not this one

Ok, I don't mean to bash other reviews. If not for the sake of everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but more of a respect factor. HOWEVER, how can you think this is metal? It's not. Band members have even said they are metal INFLUENCED hardcore... they are one of the first bands to combine metal with hardcore. They truly stick much more to their hardcore punk roots than to their metal influencers. Sorry if I offended anyone, just thought I would clear that up.

as you can tell by the reviewer's name who gave this album an "eh" and three stars, it's not exactly a credible source.. the album is fantastic, buy it.

Because honestly, I've loved every single Shai Hulud album regardless of their singer until now. Their new singer is too...bland. The music's still the same great composition and energy you expect from the Hulud, but the singer sounds like your average, boring cookie monster metal singer. What made all the singers past so dynamic was that they all had great tone and style, varying their screams. The new guy's just so monotonous and RAWR-ish. Boring in my opinion. And that music video he directed - it's mainly close-ups of him with the lyrics annoyingly fading over him. I love the Hulud, but that's why this new guy (I won't ever call him by his name) needs to leave the collective. NOW. ps: Redoing an amazing song like "Set Your Body Ablaze" with the new singer was terrible. It just makes the fans miss Geert.

Production quality is great on this album. The new singer has a distinct voice that adds a lot of depth to this band and holds together the Shai Hulud sound. Guitars sound great and drums are excellent. Everything on this album are crisp and clear. The title track is one of my favorites off this album.
