Hey who cares if he's not Yo Yo Ma or Jaqueline Du Pre (if she were alive). Do we have to rate great cellists by one or two well known cellist? God only knows that there are hundreds of great cellists out there! I am just glad that A. Hurst doesn't treat cello as if it were exclusivey classical but the very character of what the cello is very somber and delightful!

For about two years, I've continuously searched for music that was capable of sweeping me away to another world, though my efforts proved unsuccessful.... Honestly, i did not think i would have found anything of the sort, but i was wrong. Adam Hurst's music is poetic as well as raw. It has a charming means of spiriting someone away with its sadness or nostalgia, yet at the same time it makes quick work of tapping into one's true feelings. I'm not sure if that made sense, but i truely love this music. And im at a loss for coherent words. ^_^

Impressive... I wish I played like this. I gave it 4 stars because it's not Yo-Yo Ma, But It's Really good. I wanted to download it to my I Pod like my George Winston Piano solos. This is the best Cello music I have found in that genre.
