Saw them with the Breeders. More alternative than country. Excellent, Ecletic Melodies and lyrics!

Its the same thing over and over with new (ish) lyrics. 1st song: Annoying girls voice with twingy guitar; 2nd song: Annyong girls voice again with same twingy guitar, and a slightly different beat. 3rd song: The voice is impossibly even more annoying, while the guitar keeps picking in the background. Boring. Repetitive.

This record makes me want to take a road trip, or at the very least, sit on a porch and have a margarita. It reminds me of a lazy summer day. I particularly like "Pushing Oars", "Done With Love" and "Atlantis". You should definitely check these guys out live, if you get the chance!

Were those rave reviews all from family members? Sorry to be negative but these voices aren't great, they just grate.
  • The Whispertown 2000 makes me want to die.

Don't judge an album by it's cover - judge it by the horrible screeching nails-on-blackboard sound you wish you were hearing instead of this. Judge it by the bleeding of your ears. If these people did not sing at all, they would be good.
  • love it, must have it
