I came for "Like a Record Player," but I stayed for "Recovering the Opposable Thumbs." The former is sing-along gold, but the latter is punk at its purest and most lethal. The lyrics are intelligent and gritty while the outro is absolutely incendiary. My two other favorites are "Lose Your Illusion" and "The Devil's Taking Names." Their best album, by far. Get it.

I have listened to this album countless times, it's unstopable! Every guitar riff, every bass line, every drum fill, amazing, there's nothing like this out there. I haven't liked the older albums as much since, this has a new sound, for music in general. It made half my punk collection obsolete. Best 3 piece in punk after this release. TRUE MEN OF GRIT!!!!!

The Lawrence Arms are so good at making every album fresh and different (this one is more frantic and upbeat) and yet they never loose what makes them so so good. Top to bottom this album is amazing. BUY IT!!
