When he's not relying on simple rhythmic structures and beats arranged to sound you're in a rave, Scotty Dynamo is on the same level of Jay Z and Tupaq. But Dynamo's problem relates back to those moments in which he sounds more of a teacher than an actual rapper. His next album perhaps should attack the issues he cares about, not glorify the pleasures of life that we've all experienced before. As I said, Dynamo's not bad. He just needs to take a few steps in the right direction.
