Oh my goodness, thank you so much for finally having this available!!! This album is one of my favorite childhood memories, it brought tears to my eyes to hear the old stories!!! What a joy to be able to share some of my culture with my family - Mahalo Nui Loa!!!!

Although a haole, Kent "nailed" 1940's and 50's pidgin better than anyone. Add his marvelous knowledge of island history and a sense of humor second to none, and this is a gem. Those unaccustomed to pidgin should still be enchanted by these very familiar childrens stories. The 6 previewed cuts are "Goldilocks and the Three 'Pigs' " (no bears in Hawaii, rememba?) 2 "Rumplestilskin" 3 "The Three Little Pigs" 4 "Little Red Riding Hood" 5 (Go guess dis one) 6 "Jack and The Beanstalk". All great, but my fave is "Little Lei Puahi". Kent also did a wonderful album of political humor called "No Talk Stink" featuring a local politician named K.K. Kau'manua ...get for your kids? Wonderful fun.
