Small Potatoes does cover a lot of ground in this album. I bought it initially because I'd seen them in person and loved the "I will pass this way again". The older I get, the more I appreciate it. But when my father died and I was inconsolable, I re-discovered Michael Smith's "I brought my father with me". I'd play it at odd times of the day and in the middle of the night, and it helped me both to cry when I needed to, and remember the good days we shared as well. That's a lot for a song to accomplish! I like Small Potatoes because so many of their songs are little gems, and I like finding them over and over.
