Could you imagine if Slipknot had an Ep out in 1989, that would’ve been absolutely crazy. No, Slipknot formed in 1995, and their first release was “Mate.Feed.Kill.Repat” in 1996, but that is only counted as a demo nowerdays although it was released as their first album. Still interesting to see another band named Slipknot though.

I’ve always wondered what the original slipknot band sounded like (before the more popular metal band of the same name came out). Never knew what kind of band they were, even. Surprised to find out they were a hardcore band from back in the day.

Some people in this review section believe that this is [Iowa] Slipknot, others know it’s not. Some people think that they formed in 1996 or 1997 when it was actually 1995.

Kinda reminds one of The Accused with just a touch of Minor Threat.

If this was slipknot I really would only buy instrumentals lol the band itself sounds good (guitarist, drummer etc) however after hearing the vocalist...he's trash compared to Corey Taylor. Corey can sing, scream and paints a picture, he's so passionate about his music.. He doesn't just scream in a mic just to scream and he doesn't really sing dumb garbage like mate kill repeat... (Dumbest song I've ever heard). Corey Taylor as the vocalist really gave the new slipknot their identity.
