These are cover versions of the original songs... Not good covers! Seek out the originals, you'll be much happier and you'll help support the original artists!!

You call this a muppets tribute? You're insulting them!!!! I did not buy this. Who would! The previews were awful! I was not expecting the originals, but you guys were far from it. Did you guys even make an effort to produce this? This should be taken off of ITunes. DON'T BUY! I'm gonna listen to the real muppets now, suckers!

Sheeesh! What is with these reviewers? Did you all come here directly from Youtoob or something? First of all, this looks nor sounds nothing like a licensed Henson / CTW product. Ever hear of the "preview" button? If you bought this thinking it was the originals, I abandon hope for your humanity. Second, I grew up with and LOVE these songs, you don't know how much...but they are not sacrosanct, people! Obviously, the Muppet performers did them first and best (Oh, but wait! What about Paul Williams' original rendition of "Rainbow Connection"?? OH NOEZZZZZZZ!!111!!!!!!) That said, these versions are not terrible! The instrumentation, especially, is of a fine quality, and has something to offer even if you can't get over the somewhat cheesy vocal performances (which really aren't THAT bad, either). I'd hazard a guess that this album is better than the one up there that says "MUPPETS SHOW" on the cover.

I wish I'd read the reviews before buying this... complete waste of money. None of the songs are anything like the originals.
  • If you love muppets and/or sesame street - YOU WON'T LIKE THIS!!

I thought I stumbled upon some great childhood memories, and ended up wasting a dollar. Glad i read the other reviews before I bought the whole album. Imitation muppets do nothing but make me wish they'd bring back the sesame street fever ORIGINAL record to Itunes,- glad mine is still at my parents' house. These are not original Jim Henson/CTW performers - buyer beware.

I'm guessing that for most people who are looking for these songs, they listened to them as a child and want their children to listen to them as well. That was the case for me, but this album is a complete knock-off and awful! Kermit sounds like some drunk guy trying to do an impression and the rest of the characters are just as bad! If I could have used no stars, I would have. Awful, awful album and I wasted my money entirely on this album-it's going to be deleted from my library!
