Take about music in it's purest and best form. A beautiful voice, strong lyrics, and masterful acoustic guitar playing make this album a must have. My favorite song is "My Two Hands", which I find to be inspiring. I also really enjoy her cover of Radiohead's "Creep", even though I don't enjoy Radiohead. You should definetly check this out. There is no tricks here, just great music.

This album is a must for fans of raw acoustic music and pure vocals. Hana Pestle's "Live in the Studio" starts off with the powerful "These Two Hands." The song, along with its peaceful proceeding track "Just a Phase," have studio versions which were featured on Hana's original 4-track EP. After these two tracks, "Rain" pours in with its beautiful guitar work and soothing melodies. Then, "Make You Hurt," with it's speedy guitar playing and lyrics full of warning comes thundering in. The next track is "This Way," which I feel is the biggest highlight of the album. It is a slower, emotional piece featuring gorgeous lyrics and a tribal drum beat. Another of my favorites, a cover of Radiohead's "Creep," follows the track. Of any cover of the song that I've ever heard, Hana does it best. The emotion behind her take on the song is incredible and the arrangement is fantastic. The EP ends with the lovely and inquistive "What Makes Things." Hana Pestle is a shining new artist and "Live in the Studio" demonstrates that she is deserving of the attention that she is sure to begin to draw. Buy it today!

I stumbled upon Hana's myspace page and her music just blew me away. Her sweet voice and guitar made me a fan instantly so when this ep came out, I had to download it right away. The EP starts with terrific acoustic versions of These Two Hands and Just a Phase while their are 4 new songs. My favorite out of them has to be Rain and This Way. There is also a very cool cover of Radiohead's Creep. Until her full length debut comes out, Go download this!

After hearing Hana's first EP, I wasn't sure if I could possibly be more impressed with this girl. I've seen her play live 4 times, and each time I was stunned by her vocals and her overall musical ability. But upon hearing just a couple tracks from this "Live in the Studio" EP, I continue to be surprised by the kind of talent I'm hearing. Two tracks in particular call out to me on this disc. First, "This Way" is musical perfection. With a combination of strong vocals, gentle guitar and simple drums, it's entrancing. Also, "Rain" is my favorite of the seven songs. It's beautiful, almost like a lullaby. The vocal runs are amazing, and they pretty much MAKE the song for me. So yeah. In conclusion, I just have to say... check it out. Hana does not disappoint!
