Angelic vocals, soft sweet textures, uplifting lyrics, tasteful arrangements. Her other two CDs are equally relishable. Buy and enjoy

I have been moved to tears from these songs. And that is something that has never happened to me. I am more of an electronic fan, I first heard Samantha James several years ago, obviously her style on her albums is a bit different than this. I would have to say that after hearing this, as much as my ears enjoy synthesizers, She is so talented, i love hearning nothing but her voice. It needs no other element or computer created beats. (I am the last person to say that) I want Samantha James voice and thats all... my life is complete. :)

Samantha James has an amazing voice which is fully displayed in this album. Like many of the other reviewers, I loved the dance EP but I think this acoustic EP blows that one out of the water. The music and her voice blend so beautifully together. It was better than I even expected. Great work!

There was a time when I just couldn't imagine Miss James' voice gliding over anything, but dance music. I have obviously been proven wrong. This music is beautiful; I'm going to establish that right now. Miss James has a graceful voice that just works perfectly for this kind of easy-listening music. My favorite in the "Rise" album has always been "Rise", but I actually enjoyed "Rain" a lot more on this album. It's much more chilled out than it's electronic counterpart, and the piano is perfect for it. I'm glad Miss James' music can actually lull me to sleep, now! :) Something good I also noticed about this album is that it lets us hear a lot more of her real voice. In electronic music, you unfortunately can't tell if a woman's voice (or man's, for that matter) really sounds like it does in the song, or if it is just effects. With this album, though, it has removed all doubt from my mind that Miss James' voice is truly as angelic as it sounds in her music. Overall, I love this album, and I am looking forward to more work like this from Samantha... Truly breathtaking.
