10 Aniversario

Don't get me wrong, these girls are great and having seen them in person, very talented!! However ,on the last two albums, the music seems ... kinda fake , like some of the tracks are played on an electric piano set to a trumpet -like sound. Somos novios drove me nuts! kinda like i was listening to it through a tin can. It's hard enough to find this song by mariachi.

Itunes needs to take Spanish classes.

This album is wonderful! Of all the female mariachis this group is the most enjoyable to listen to and to see live. The harmony in their arrangements is a step above the rest! I love that they recorded songs that many mariachis have recorded, but with a sound that can only they could produce.

So I listened to the new Mariachi Divas record and I want to congratulate the Divas for a great effort. However, the songs lack a sense of realness, passion, and liveliness -- all key aspects of great Mariachi music. The record sounds way too fabricated and the songs seem well-suited for a Saturday morning spanish cartoon offering -- for 3 year olds! The 10-year Anniversary Tribute features great songs and it's unfortunate that the Divas could not achieve livelier versions. Not all news is bad. Most of these songs have already been mastered and released by another all-female mariachi group, Mariachi Reyna de los Angeles. Before you buy the latest Divas compilation, I'd highly urge all parties to check out Reyna, seriously. I guarantee you will not hit your Back button. Mariachi Reyna de los Angeles delivers! Specifically, look out for Companeras, their latest release and the kind of record that's actually Grammy-worthy! Again, Divas, congratulations. 2 stars for effort. Maybe Disney finally launches its spanish network???

This is their best work to date. The unique mix of traditional and new bring a fresh sound to be enjoyed by all. I really recommend the Original song "Es Mentira" (By Beto Jimenez) and a song to surely be associated with President Obama, "At Last". Spanish speaking or not, you will enjoy this music. Give it a try.

True to who they are, they delivered on this album as they always do. I always look forward to whatever they release and it's always a hit. As always the girls rock!!
