Music for Men (Deluxe Version)

I can pretty much guarantee I'll never buy J'adore, but after the second or third time I saw the commercial that featured Heavy Cross, I found the song was stuck in my head and I had to find out the name/group responsible... So I guess the commercial worked, only in reverse. Even though the commercial only featured a tiny portion of the song, I knew the rest would be just as invigorating, and I was far from disappointed!! Until now I had never heard of Gossip or any of their music, as far as I know, and I'm now planning to check out not only the rest of this album, but previous releases as well! With her haunting voice, I know the lead vocalist will have me addicted by the end of the week, if not sooner!!

This might just be my favorite album EVER!!! I love Beth ditto's voice cooing to the background music of that of punk rock. Amazing. I love it. I wish they were more popular. I'm not quite sure what got me listening to them. I think it was that in 2009 I cited myself as being gay and wanted to listen to bands who too cited themselves as gay. I no longer think that of myself but I still love everything about them!! Music for Men always makes me hAppy! I recently went to a lady gaga concert and her opening act was a DJ. I walked into the venue at the end of his act and he was remixing Heavy Cross. I almost started crying because I thought I just missed my favorite band and the thought of two of my favorites could be playing together was so exciting!! Who knows? Maybe one day Gossip could open for Gaga. <3

This is one song I heard on the commercial for Dior showing C. Theron. Hot!! I finally researched it and found out who it was. I have not heard of Gossip or Heavy Cross but I was intrigued with it!!! Just listen, Beth Ditto's voice is rockin with this song and once I finally found it I also liked the lyrics on Dimestore Diamond. Its rate I like a song the first time I hear it but they did it for me here!! Thank goodness for the ability to record and replay TV commercials!! I would have never known and that really would have been a shame. Never heard of this group and although they may not be perfect- neither the heck am I. Their music is UPBEAT and UPlifting. FUN. Dance.

Each song blends seamlessly into the next creating a whole album that feels like one long awesome song. I listen to this whole album again and again and nod my head enthusiastically through the whole listen and feel so good about it.

Awesome upbeat song

I just want to dance in the crosswalk or middle of the street to " Heavy Cross" while jamming to my IPOD music. This song is so hot! I love "Gossip". Thanks!

I had always been a passing Gossip fan. This CD really rocks. i like the work Rick Rubin does with The Gossip raw energy. Some reviews have called it a bit "over" produced but I do believe the production gives the CD a nice focus not seen in other Gossip CDs. All the songs rock. A bit of an homage to 80's alternative rock with a tinge of a something you can dance to... buy it.
