Seriously, I can't get over how good this recording is. And it's even better on vinyl! Forget Mp3/cd/whatever. Get it on wax. so much fuller sounding.

I bought this album after hearing one song, and I absolutely love it! Every song is great. I just wish it were longer than 35 minutes.
  • New favorite album, band.

I finally found a band that fills that "Dear Landlord" void. I loved Dear Landlord but damn one album is all they had, and I played the hell out of that one. How the hell did I go so long without listening to Banner Pilot is beyond me, but anyways I'm gonna have to scrape some more money together and buy the rest of their albums, instant fan!

Loved Jawbreaker. Loved The Descendents. Sounds like a mix of the two with a modern feel. Take a listen for yourself...

I heard Banner Pilot on XM Faction a few days ago and absolutely love this band. I bought the rerelease of Resignation Day at Electric Fetus and downloaded Collapser from iTunes. Their music brings me back to the late 80's early 90's skate punk that I fell in love with then and I've craved for the last 20 years. Their sound remind's me of Screeching Weasel's early stuff like Wiggle and My Brain Hurts. If you grew up skating in that era like I did, you will certainly love this band. It brings you back and makes you again.

A perfect refresh of 90's anthemic punk rock. I've not heard earlier albums from these guys but Collapser is the music I've been missing for the past decade.

WOW...this gave me a flashback to the late 80's and early 90's! I wasn't too much for BANNER PILOT's previous efforts, but they really sacrificed their time on this LP! Kudos to Fat Wreck Chords for putting this fine piece of history out! This album really reminds me of stuff off the ol' SST label....GET IT!!!

The easy answer is to make a Dillinger Four comparison (same town, similar sound), but it's not that cut and dry. Definitely midwest punk, as it has plenty of meat on it's bones (the bass guitar!), with some of the early 90s Lookout! Records' and late 90s No Idea Records' influence present. Short, sweet, catchy, raspy, and not a stupid lyric to be found. You can't listen to it just once through, it begs to be repeated. For fans of all the bands the other guy mentioned, too.
