I liked most of this album, songs like so stung and 40 hours were great but not his best of the four he's made.
  • I miss the old Howie.

I personally loved Howie's older music. I'm a fan of his acoustic songs and this album is definitely a different style. Although some of these songs are catchy, they lack Howie's original acoustic outcry. This album seems like every other album out there these days. It isn't as unique as his older stuff. The lyrics are still good, but they would sound SO much better if done acoustically.

I will start off by saying I am a fan of the old Howie with his loop machine. When I first listened to this album I thought, "Eh, it's alright." After actually sitting down and listening to the lyrics, I've found I really enjoy it. It is very poppy and polished, but it has growned on me. It's the only album I listen to right now. I'm a fan of all but two songs, "Post Card's From Mars" and "Counting On Me". Take the time to sit and listen to each song. Personally I enjoy this album more so than Stop All the World Now.

I am familiar with Howie's previous works, so what others think is "selling out" or "overproduced", I think it's music that grew and mature. This album is incredible, in that each track is brilliantly written and strong enough to hold itself up. No track is lacking on this album, and Howie Day's strong vocals are effervescent. I love this album, so much so that I listen to it constantly, especially 'Sound the Alarm', where Howie Day's vocals chill my bones. Thank you Howie Day, and I can't wait for future works, though I will be content with this album for quite some time.

I just purchased this on a whim! I'm so glad I did too! This album is just amazing! I'm really surprised it's so under the radar...it's simply amazing. A few tracks that I HIGHLY recommend are: "Weightless", "Undressed", "No Longer What You Require"
  • Great album, it deserved more of an audience

Because of the Britney scandal this guy never got the credit it deserved. It's right up there with Battle Studies. Such a shame...
  • I must confess...

I like you best with your mouth closed. Lyrics are juvinile. Why haven't you been back to Madison Howie?

I love his music. I love some of these songs but some of them don't sound good for him. The four stars are for his great voice. Hope his next album comes fast and is great :).
