Great album. Musically, it's her best work. Guitar is experimental, raw and works so beautifully with Hope's voice. In my opinion she's graduated from Mazzy Star to Hope Sandoval, with guitar riffs that bring me back to Joni's Song to a Seagull...

Hope Sandoval has a velvety, smooth voice that just makes you melt. Haunting and hypnotic is an excellent description. Wow!
  • Haunting and beautiful as ever

Hope is an ethereal beauty of a singer, and her music reflects that perfectly. A great album (and if you liked the first one, or Mazzy Star, you will like this one, I promise).

Disregard the fact that Hope has been gone since Bavrian Fruit Bread (with the exception of Wild Roses being on a Compilation earlier this year) She will never disappoint. Mazzy Star/Hope Sandoval will always be the most numerous on my playlist.

Beautiful and haunting, sleepy and dreamy, mysterious and sad. I am so glad Hope and Colm have returned. The lyric on LADY JESSICA AND SAM "Your father and his memories/they hid a razor in your heart/Your mother seemed so faithless/she had the way to tear apart." is astonishing.
  • Thank you Hope!!

Five stars are not enough. I have been waiting a long time for some new music and it was well worth the wait.
