Thats an oxymoron if ever there was.....Great musicianship, but the vocals don't really do it for me. I do look forward to future releases form these guys though. Overall solid album

I can see as to why some people compare this to Behemoth. But just to get something straight, they don't sound EXACTLY the same. For one thing the vocals of course are a bit more growlier and not as roaring as Nergal's vocals, and although the guitar riffs are indeed complex, they are not quite as thrashy or heavy as Behemoth's, rather AHTDU adopts a more instrumental, proggresive style. I do not believe this is the artist itself rather I think it is just how this CD was mixed and produced. Listen to the samples and compare the sound to Behemoth and you will see what I mean. But there is definetly a similarity between the two. One thing that I can definetly see is the drumming, it's brutal. This is just me but I do believe that the drumming here is on par with that of Behemoth's. The drummer is flying everywhere in over half of these songs. The blast beats and speedy double kick bass, vicious vocals, and complex guitar riffs makes these guys a rarety among most blackened death metal bands. It's only a shame that they do not have any more of there material here on itunes. I certainly hope to find other christian bands out there like this. Now if they would have just produced the music with a little bit more of a heavier bass, more loud and thrashier sound in their guitar riffs, and roared their vocals a bit more then I would say they definetly rival Behemoth. Which I certainly hope to see in later material. However, this has nothing to do with me giving this 4 stars, I am just trying to be a little more careful with how I rate music. For these guys, 4 stars is GOOD! Both Of Fire And Division and Rime are excellent intro/outro instrumentals with good drums and riffs. The Dark Road is not that much of an exciting interlude instrumental. If I were to recommend a good sample song it would be Heca Secundus or Prometheus Rebound. BTW ITUNES! The songs A Dark Road and We Soulless Men are mixed up, SWITCH THEM BACK!

This is an amazing Christian Death Metal album. It does satisfy my needs for excellent Christian Metal seeing as a lot of Death/Black Metal is satanic...This is definitely NOT that "Christcore" junk it's straight up Death Metal, this is definitely for people who enjoy the likes of Behemoth. Musically this album is perfect, the only thing that could be improved are the vocals..I kind of wish they'd be more of a roar rather than a growl(roar as in vocals like Behemoth's). The vocals aren't bad per se, they're middle of the road, but either way this album is definitely worth getting.

The album title says it all. The reverbs on the bone-crushing vocals cast you into the medieval battlefield. This angel-versus-demons compilation has brutality, majesty, speed and calm all wrapped up in eleven tracks. They rock for God, and they rock HARD.
  • An album made by beastly titans!

This album is indeed titanic. It sounds as it is come straight from the wintry forests of pagan Scandinavia rather than Midwest US of A. Do yourself a favor, buy it.

Infinite Titanic Immortal is a great debut album for A Hill To Die Upon. Amongst bands like Living Sacrifice and Becoming The Archetype; they make a good asset for the Christian metal scene. I just hope they get more credit in a genre being dominated by screamo bands like The Devil Wears Prada, Haste The Day and Underoath.
  • This is so amazing.

I like Behemoth, but I hate the lyrics. So this is perfect for me. Absolutely beast vocals, this is an all-around 'mazing band. Best Christian Blackened Death Metal band around.

Finally!!! I've been waiting for this album for a long time, and I've been a fan of AHTDU for even longer. This is a very good (but unfortunately unknown) band. Blackened death metal, kind of like the christian version of Behemoth. Good vocals, good guitar work, good drumming. Not spectacular but definitely worth a buy, plus you are supporting a band that deserves a lot more recognition. \m/
