Of which my review will be anything but. The first album I had ever heard from Phish was the masterpiece called Rift. Still to this day it is my favorite album, But I don't think this album trails too far behind as far as its dynamics nor quality of song writing (from some stand points it has better song writing cause they are more focused and shorter, possibly being more casual fan friendly.) The sound and quality of musicianship i think has even pinnacled quite possibly all of their former and latter work. I especially enjoy the rhythm section on this album, Jon's drumming is just spectacular, especially on the epic and adventurous ''Guyute'' (maybe my favorite song by them of all-time) and ''Limb by Limb,'' where he really shows off quite a bit. Mike's bass is just hitting the floor, and for that reason I recommend listens with headphones or a really nice speaker system with full range. I suggest the album be listened to from front to back as its a sonic and story telling experience, Phish is a great band, top ten of my all-time favorites and this is one of their best albums, so a good jumping off point for the band as far as newcomers go, along with the albums Farmhouse or Billy Breathes too maybe.
