I guess this James Pants fellow is influenced by 80's music? Well anyways, this would be much more gothic influenced, i.e. Bauhaus/Joy Division, than his previous sutff which was more New Wave sounding. On a personal level, I'm all for it - being the old man that I am. It's good to see music being made nowadays that reminds me of stuff I listened to when I was a youth.

James Pants does not disapoint with the new album. It does sound different from Welcome; however, its still has the sense that James made it. 'Chip In The Hand' sounds like an Eighties teen flick, while 'Thin Moon' sounds gives you the feeling of a drunk date. The random-ness of 'I Saw You' could make any teenage boy jump around. 'I Promise' has the drums of a dirty street in new york, while in contrast, 'Wash To Sea' sounds like frankinstien recording a jazz record. Overall, the album is f_cking wonderfull, leaving fans with wanting more Pants.
