I really think that the reason there are so many people in the world who are so opposed to Christianity is because of stubborn, hypercritical "church people" and "religious people" I mean yes Missy is a secular artist but its amazing that we can focus on that rather than focus on the fact that people are attracted to what they know...so play Amazing Grace and Guide Me O' Thy Great Jehovah isn't getting people saved it witnessing to them about God's agape love by using things they can understand so really people need to get a life and if you're choose to be counterproductive do it by yourself!

I truly love this albym. It's helped me get through a lot. I do think that she is truly anointed and shares that strong anointing with us on the album. Life Changing! "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh." 2 Corinthians 10:3

This CD is Excellent. Her voice is clear like a Bell....the production is tight.Jmoss and Donald Lawrence did a wonderful job of creating songs that have traditional elemenets at times and slides into modern sounds quite well. Her Daughter Kierra also has two great CDs and Itunes offers them as a double pack... my favorite songs: We are not Ashamed with Mary Mary The Heavens are Telling God is Here I Owe Sometimes

All can appreciate the message in every song-encouragement to continue our christian walk is through out the album. I can listen to every song any time of the day, whether at work, home, or on the way to church and it fills my spirit.

This entire album is full of non-stop inspiration and a incomplete touch of annoiting. I have a few favorites "I Owe", "Sometimes" and the songs of all songs "We Acknowledge You" the rest of the album is so glorious which gives me the ability to thank God and appreciate eeverything he has done for me. I don't know how to say it but I love Karen and all of her music. She's the source of everything a Queen of Gospel should be I just want to thank her she is so inspirational and full of joy.

Karen's (often imitated) voice and style flow smoothly throughout this CD, both on the live and studio tracks. I love hearing her and Kiki on the Jill Scott-ish "You Loved Me." Karen is a phenomenal singer, who has influenced countless gospel and R&B artists. Whether you're a fan or not, download the entire album.
  • The Gospel (Good News) is for the lost

The religious "Christians" really mis-portray Christ. It is such a tragic irony. Throughout Christ's life, He drew those who were lost and in darkness. "Gospel Music" comes from a rich heritage because out of pain and suffering during the years of slavery, the heart and soul of the black men and women who cried out to God became such a rich offering of worship that it continues to touch those who are blessed enough to hear their songs of redemption and freedom (in Christ). The fact that Christ Himself associated with sinners speaks volumes of His love and how we are to bring the message of His love to everyone around us (whether through words or music). What a blessing that Gospel Music stands as a voice of testimony to the music industry (and everyone in it). Praise and Worship come from the heart and is judged by God alone. For someone here to give a one-star rating because this someone presumes to judge Karen for her associations in the music industry is pitifully self-righteous (just like the Pharisees judged Jesus). God has not called us to continue in our sin and selfish ways but He has indeed called us to "go forth" and share His love. Christ calls us to 2 commands (of which every other commandment is based): Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Love others as you would yourself. Love God, Love others. "Judgemental" Christians are the worst people around.... they never really fully realize God's love for themselves enough to love others. The love of God is not afraid of the darkness and sin of the world. Thank God and praise God for His love. This music reflects the vibrance and intimacy of those crying out to the Lord. It will minister to your soul.

I find that when we talk about gospel music and what it should sound like we get into "interpreting" what God has made . Remember some one said the same thing that she said when it came to drums and guitars in the church because it gave God a worldly sound . But God is the same yesterday and forever more that being said the anointing that flows forth from his vessel Karen is just that .  The songs are wonderful and arranged beautifully as her voice flows over them as a lark glides in the air. That truly is a blessed sound .
