Reviews

  • Great Classic album by underrated band!

This started it all for me as a fan. I heard the opening riff of "Jagged" when it came out and they played it on KLSU and I had to go and buy this album and their back catalog and I have been a fan since. This album has great song after great song.
  • Fight Songs begins a trajectory

towards the band's greatness. Old 97's albums just get better and better, as do Rhett Miller's solo albums.

For me, this and Too Far to Care are their best albums. Like the album review above states, they move away from the twang a little and it's a little more rock. Jagged, Nineteen, Murder or a Heart Attack, Lonely Holiday and Oppenheimer are among their best songs.
  • Valentine.

Actually haven't heard the whole album..... but the last song, Valentine, is the BEST! :)
