Gloriana

I used to hate country, but this album, and their nexted have changed me. I love country now because of them. They are great!

I absolutely love this album! Every song is my favorite!

Just for the record this is based on previews of the songs. This album would have gotten 2 stars if it hadn't been for "How Far Do You Wanna Go". That one was the only awesome one on there. The rest were OK though.

Gloriana is the single best artist/band in all of country music:). Buy this album and all of the rest of their songs, you won't regret it. And Mike Gossin is all kinds of gorgeous;) <3

the best album I have ever heard of gloriana

I was very impressed with Gloriana's performance. I've heard their songs before but I didn't fully listen to them until I saw them perform at the Franklin County Fair tonight and I was immediately hooked and astounded! Every vocalist has an amazing voice and they all bring the band together to form a really great sound. These guys will make it big! Thanks for the performance tonight!

I think they still played it kinda safe with this one. They do stand out among the pack though. But I wish they had more singer songwriter creativity and the guts to do more with their stuff. The best of country rock is Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, The Eagles, Poco, The legendary Crosby Stills and Nash, latter period Byrds, Flying Burritos, America, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, and even some Fleetwood Mac. I hoped that Gloriana would continue this tradition and not be quite so status quo. Those bands had songs in which the whole band acted as one voice, one lead vocal in glorious harmony. There was no one singer it was the combination of all of them, with each member weaving in and out for a line or two. Gloriana sticks to the one lead singer with backup formula. The singers are great alone, but would be outrageous together more than what's already there! The music is great, but I hope their next album has some more meat to it. And I hope they read this!

O.K., if you can get past the issue of "is this real country music" or not, and just listen to the songs for what they are, you will LOVE this album. If a song reaches you or moves you, thats all that counts. Although I would hesitate to label it country, the songs are still great, catchy, well written stuck-in-your-head-for-days pop songs, and if this album is delivered that way, this makes for a great purchase. Yeah, its a little Disney Channel. Thats a given considering Nashville these days. But if you just love a good song you can sing to and lift you up, BUY THIS RECORD!
