you'll have to forgive me, but despite love for the bands' pedigree as well as the genre, Red Sparowes were never able to hold my interest on record (and i have sincerely tried)...until today. upon immediate first listen, this is simply what i didn't realize i was waiting for all this time. They have never sounded so powerful and unpredictable as on this superb record.

i keep listening, trying to hear what everyone else hears, and it just isn't happening. i loved everything red sparowes did prior to this, and will still be as eager as ever to hear whatever comes next, but this one falls flat for me. if you are unfamiliar with this band, this is the last place i suggest you start, because i feel the two full lengths and one ep that precede it are all far more engaging and dynamic.

I think this is my least favorite full length album of theirs, but that's not saying much. Their worst is better than most bands' best. This is definitely worth a 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. listen.

I preordered this from their website and it arrived in the mail last week. So far I cannot stop listening to it, I've had it in constant rotation in my car. This music is incredible, it makes me want to turn the volume up on the stereo until my ears bleed. They claimed this would be their best album and they were right.

Just saw these guys live last night and it was an incredible show, one of the best shows I have ever seen, it prompted me to pick up all their albums at the merch table and I'm glad I did the albums are just as good as the live material, if u like good instrumental jams you should dig this, or if u are into the Isis/pelican sort of sound u will like this.
