Lonestar, You were my favorite band of all time! But then Richie McDonald left. Now, you just aren't the same. If Richie was still in your band I would buy every CD. But he's not. You guys just aren't the same. You don't even really sound country. Get a good, country lead singer and go back to writing songs like "Hey God" and "Mr. Mom". Until you do, I don't see myself listening to (much less buying) any of your songs.

Music is about being original and making a name for yourself not taking one that was already successful. Sounds like other bands (Keith Urban Rascall Flatts), looks like another band......... I thought that producers looked for originality . Fresh and new, how, it sounds like Keith Urban. When you hear LoneStar, it will always be Richie McDonald. If faux-Star came out with a new name, trying to make it all on their own, people would've look them over. They should try crossing over to pop music.

I am not sure where the last reviewer is coming from. You can't lose your lead singer and expect thnigs to be the same with a new voice. This is a very good album. If I listened to it for another few days I may very well have rated this a 5. The songs are well done. Nothing is overdone or reaching. The melodies are tight and polished. I will admit that this is not your father's country music. That is not necessarily a bad thing. Listen to the long samples. You will end up buying the album.

We recently saw Lonestar at the grand opening of a winery in Eastern Washington. Not impressed at all by the new lead singer. It was like watching a Keith Urban look-a-like contest in Vegas! He even sounds like mr. kidmann. It was fun to see the few remaining original guys put on a show but being a long time fan of their great music I think it would be easier to enjoy the new stuff if they just renamed their band.
  • Great album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This album is great. Not only does my uncle play bass for them, "Party Heard Around The World" and "Your The Reason Why" should be ranked up there with "Amazed", "I'm Already There", "My Front Porch Looking In", and "What About Now". BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Not bad but i was hoping for more

The band clearly is missing something with this album. While I did enjoy it as a whole there are two or three songs that hurt the overall value of it.
  • THIS IS NOT LONESTAR!

I don't like the sound of the new Lonestar. What I enjoyed about the original lead singer was his unique voice, it was unmistakable and seemed to make the songs more of a hit. Also, the "newer" music style in these songs sounds NOTHING like ANY of the original Lonestar songs! It's as if it is a new band...Changing voices is one thing, changing the musical style is another. All-in-all I don't like this new album.

having known Cody Collins for several years, I was excited to hear he had joined one of my favorite bands. I am not at all surprised at the wonderful music they are making together. I have been fortunate to hear them in concert several times and the live shows rock. This album is great and I look forward to many more to come. Dean, Keech, Mike and Cody are a great bunch of men loving what they do and it come thru with the quality of this album. Thanks guys, I have waited a long time for it to be released! for all of the nay-sayers, Ritchie left to persue new ventures and is doing well. He was a great singer, but if you dont make changes and allure new audiences, then you may as well quit what you are doing. Many think he sounds like this guy or that guy, but I think that shows his ablilty to make his voice match the mood of the song and show his range. The "new" man has been singing a long time and will impress if you all them the chance to. I think this is great, just wait there is more to come If you buy the album from one of the stores, there are 2 bonus songs on that CD. "TOUGH" may safisfy the need for the ballad some folks like.
