Excellent verses + awesome "soul beats" = solid album! Definitely doesn't disappoint, especially for a "debut album". You don't have to be a Detroiter to appreciate the quality and cohesiveness put into the project. My favorite tracks on the album are "Real Detroit" feat. The Left and "Streets Won't Let Me Chill" feat. Diamond District, although quite frankly after a few spins the whole album will become a favorite, you'll wonder where the time went.

Why is it that apollo brown and all the other good rappers out there are classified as indie rap, and underground rap. This is what general rap and hip hop is supposed to be. This is what it should truly sound like right here. Great album, keep up the real hip hop.

I listened to the previews and it sounded so fresh, then once I had bought it I realized that they are the same lyrics of songs I love so because of the lack of originality on that part I give it 4 of 5 stars

Apollo crafted an album here, not just one track - The Reset has a whole feel to it that's ill.

With nice rappers from detroit, (elzhi, black milk, royce da 5 9), Apollo Brown has done it with this one! Detroits comin back! Every song has a great beat! The lyrics to "Real Detroit" just tell you how sick Detroit is!
  • The Boom Bap is back!!!! Thank god....ahhhhh (sigh of relief)

I just want to say that I bought this on impulse like diggin in the crates for LPs with crazy album covers. The Reset is probably one of my best purchases so far this year. So good to hear good hip hop music again. Superior album.
