My girls work very hard. I'm glad to see that they get the recognition that they do because of their hard work. For me personally the MJ stuff had the appropriate touch of Mariachi. You have to adapt the sound to the type of song you are playing especially if it's a cover of those great songs. I'll be there can't sound like a "son" or "huapango" it has to fit the style and the integrity of the song. Great job Meli with Ben it's such a tremendous tribute both to your dad and my nephew. Love you girls

While I appreciate a good cover, the MJ covers leave alot to be desired. My advice would be to ditch trying to sound R&B sprinkled with Mariachi and instead do the opposite. The Mariachi HAS to be the dominant piece in the arrangement otherwise it just won't work as we regretfully hear in these English selections. Don't get me wrong., I LOVED what they did with Etta James' "At Last." And perhaps that was my mistake for having such high expectations from this album. Girls, you get an A for effort but fell quite short this time around.
