I, too, had this on vinyl years ago. Tuneful, sometimes just the man and his guitar. Yes, growing up in the 70s didn't seem easy back in the middle of it. But coming home, flopping down on the bed and listening to this was so so soothing. Whistle along!

I also bought this when it came out. I remember not being sure if it was a masterpiece but I couldn’t stop playing it. Some of these songs—well, Magical Connection is a big favorite of mine—love to sing it to myself and I think more people should cover this song. Makes a great jazz song. Still an album I want to keep around.

Ditto from ZLO3D - A real fine and favorite collection of music from a master songwriter. Multi-talented and accessible, John records songs like he is playing them for you as a guest in his living room. From the Utopian to the whimsical, these songs warm the heart. I loved it in 1970 and I love it now. Also- give a listen to The Doors' Road House Blues. That's our friend John blowing that mean harmonica!

I bought this album when it first came out. Each song is so ingrained in my memory, it is a part of my psyche so all of the songs have meaning and memories for me.
