Sorry this band lost it when they lost Carah Faye. If you still want to hear Carah she is involved with a band called Versant. They have a EP on ITunes. Better than this stuff.

This is getting rediculous. STG had one of the best first effort albums ever, at least of that decade. Now this? This is the equivelent of new rap music. Let's take a song from the 80s, up-tempo the drum beat, and make it all techno while singing in a very monotone voice. Highly disappointing. This is the kind of music that makes people do drugs, not because it's good to dance to, but because it makes you think, "Wow, maybe if I do enough ecstacy this will start to sound good." Highly disappointed in what this band has become.
  • Okay, Shinys. What the heck are you doing?

I love Shiny Toy Guns. With that said, what is this single? Seriously? What are you doing, shinys? This is like Devo decided to make out with the goth kids while Depeche Mode played "Master and Servant" in the background. Losing Carah Faye was a bad career move for the shinys. Now, I don't mind the new girl; Ricochet was pretty fun. But We Are Pilots will ALWAYS be better. I loved Peter Schilling's Major Tom, so I instinctively liked that song, too. But Season of poison, Major tom, and especially THIS SONG would be so much better with Carah. Go buy Versant's EP "Heartbeats". That's the band Carah Faye is in now, and she definitely is honing her skills better without shiny toy guns. It kills me to say it, but the shinys are not impressing me anymore. This makes me sad, but this song sounds like Beck decided to host a rave without any DJ and a bar with only five o'clock vodka. It's just...not worth it.

They started out so strong, and now they're just churning out cover music. I went to a concert celebrating Season of Poison's release, and it was great -- this was back when "Rocketship" wasn't crammed with those added unnecessary (and kind of stupid) lyrics -- but now they're just a nostalgia machine? Please, if you continue to play, do yourselves the dignity of adding to the conversation instead of repeating it.
  • another dissapointment from what was the best band of the 00's

SO Some of you didn't stubble upon STG until now, and you like them. I still mourn the loss of CARAH FAYE and a truly amazing voice. This new chick is like driving a YUGO after owning a FERRARI. I cant hear one of their songs with their great writing and production and not think how good it would be with a great female vocalist instead of this typical karaoke caliber singer. I would rather have no female vocals with STG music than hear those nails running down the chalkboard. Girls from the local high school choir would put that to shame. Not to mention, no stage presence, no looks, no charisma. What were Shinys thinking? No wonder they lost a vast majority of their original fan base. For the best album of the 00's see "WE ARE PILOTS" and go purchase that instead.
  • Cover something good if you must cover anything

That song was crap when it came out and it still is. I like STG but leave the Eddie Moneys and the Blue Oyster Cults to their own suckage.
  • AMAZING SONG, AMAZING BAND
