The Thrash metal it's a bit off for me but there's something for everyone here, from the death metal to those into prog rock. I like how they pay tribute to Deep Purple's "Concerto" album (apparently no longer in print) with the Album cover. Amazing musicians, it's good to see younger blood still giving it their all.

With my headphones on and the volume cranked up, I truly feel like I'm at this concert. Also, such a great performance of"The Moor".

but there's something off about Mikaels growling. But you guys should totally buy it. It has Blackwater Park in it's entirety, doesn't get any better than that!
  • Amazing.

Opeth never ceases to amaze me. They are even better live then they are in the studio. They are truly some of the greatest musicians ever to grace the industry.

This is simply a great sounding recording and a nice collection of strong Opeth songs. I was excited for songs like Harlequin Forest, Funeral Portrait and April Ethereal to be on here. I love the reverby sound of the big hall venue. Vocals do seem abnormally high in the mix, but that might be more a preference thing. For the people complaining about screamed vocals, you really do need to grow some balls or listen to the countless other bands with clean vocals. Opeth has always incorporated that element over their entire career so just get over it already.

Opeth is transcendent and one of the greatest rock bands of all time. If you fancy yourself a fan of metal and are scared off by the death metal vocals, grow a pair. Opeth's albums and music in general transcends rock and could be compared to movements of symphonies in sheer scope and grandeur. This band simply deserves appreciation.

So many people complain about the vocals, and say the "band" is good and not the vocals. I am sorry but that "is" Opeth. I think of them as the Pink Floyd/Trent Reznor of Prog/Death Metal. Every song is a path down into a dark, deep, and beautifully orchestrated world. I have nothing but respect for Opeth and their musicianship. To pull off what they do in the studio live with an awesome sound and tightness is amazing. I love Opeth and this CD is a must for any fan.......

This may be the best Live album I own. Opeth are a great live act and this record captures it.
