CAKE is above this. You're all thinking it. This is too streamlined, too unintelligible from CAKE's other, better work. It sounds almost as unfocused as Motorcade of Generosity, and that album at least had an excuse-When Motorcade was released, CAKE was but a fledgling group. This is unacceptable as a followup to Pressure Chief. There are a few tracks to like here, Federal Funding is pretty clever and Long Time will get stuck in your head for sure, but the big single Sick of You actually sonds generic-and it's a sad, sad day when CAKE becomes generic. Get it only if you're a completionist. Otherwise, tracks to check out include Federal Funding, Long Time, Mustache Man, Easy to Crash, and Teenage Pregnancy.

Compared to Cakes' Prolonging the Magic album, this album falls way short! There are only about 2-3 decent songs on this one compared to 6-7 on the former.

I love this album and i'ts just another great one from Cake...sadly I bought the whole album but it didn't download to my library...so I just got ripped out of 9 dollars and I can't hit the purchase button again because it says I bought it but it won't give me the option to download it..please fix this iTunes because I don't want to have to buy the album again

This album stands for the lost generation. It is the anthem of my life. The riffs and lyrics just make love to your heart!

Great album. Made better by the fact that it was independently produced in a solar powered studio that the band built themselves. If you're considering this album as your next iTunes purchase you owe it to yourself to do it.

I haven't been a Cake fan for all too long yet, but the first song I heard by them, I instantly fell in love. Great album, I really can't wait for more. Still haven't really listened to all of their old stuff yet either, ha.

The lyrics are witty as always, but frequently touching. The music is just great--the harmonies and instrumentation are as clever as the lyrics. Found myself singing along loudly and wiggling around while I drove today, to the great amusement of a driver next to me. Oops. There's always one song on an album you wish they'd left off. Not here--it's just about perfect.

This is a rich album- catchy melodies, smart lyrics. A gem! Can't say enough good about it, gives Comfort Eagle a real run for the money. Interestingly beautiful- can you tell I like it? A lot? Rock isn't dead yet- long live Cake!

When I first heard Cake was coming out with a new album I was both excited and a little worried. I was excited because Cake always put out great music, but I was worried that it might not live up to the others, but I when I heard it I felt like I heard the greatest thing in my life! Every song is a masterpiece! Starting off with "Federal Funding" and on through "Italian Guy" it was exciting trip from amazing to truly spectacular! There is something for everyone, from cool dance beats to rock, you will enjoy this album!
