Hot Loose Wire

I don't know if this has happened before in my life, but I heard this album through my wife's, mother's, and sister's ears. Absolutely stunning lyrics that have left me cut in half. I haven't welled up listening to a new song without a sad video or personal memory attached to it in ages. This album almost brought me to full on tears on 4 separate tracks. Liz's voice shows such control and restraint that it pierces through the simple musical accompaniment and will leave you staggering, forcing you to replay each track. Perhaps the last song wasn't meant for me, but I could see kids appreciating it. Save this one for a rainy day or long drive alone. It's the perfect companion to a somber mood. 5 stars.

Liz has an amazing voice! I saw her in concert last night and fell in love with her songs and had a great time!

This is one of the best albums I've ever heard. This wonderful CD is essentially "Liz Live," accompanied solely with her uniquely inspired and beautiful acoustic guitar and piano stylings. Her songs reflect deep emotion with a sense of innocence that are moving and irresistible. The two covers - Moon Dance and River - outperform the originals. Even the order of the songs on the CD is perfect, taking the listener through a journey that is touching, sad, reflective, happy, and loving life. Yet despite her amazing musician and song-writing skills, it's her perfect (and perfectly beautiful) vocals that sweep the listener away.

I first heard Liz on Sirius Radio's Coffeehouse channel, and her voice blew me away. This album is a real find, and Longley demonstrates her skills as a songwriter and guitarist. But the voice! Liz Longley's voice is gorgeous. I find myself listening to her and getting lost in the songs. She's an amazing talent and I hope we see big things for her in the future.

Okay last year Liz longly came to my school and I got her autograph...she also played a few of her songs. I am in love with them! They are amazing! And they actually have a point! :)

Liz Longley shows an amazing talent for songwriting in her newest album entitled, "Hot Loose Wire." I heard Liz on XM radio today for the first time ever and had to find her on here...most amazing voice lyrics and songs I've heard in forever!!

We saw Liz at the CornHill Festival this last weekend, taking a break from the arts & crafts. We were immediately impressed by her voice and song writing ability. We bought 2 of her CDs and have enjoyed listening ever since. Way to go Liz !! Incredibly melodic voice !!
