  • I-Tunes Review above is ridiculous

Yes the album was kind of ahead of its time back in '92 with its combination of Beatles, Faith No More & Jane's Addiction & their own melodic creativity = Saigon Kick's 2nd album. But the reviewer above is categorically wrong in saying the album is a "schizophrenic mess". Give anyone a keyboard and a pair of ears and they think they can write reviews. Definitely worth your time investment, still sounds fresh today to me. Going to see them in concert tonight in NYC on their reunion tour. Enjoy...

The Lizard is one of my all time favorite album from Saigon Kick because it a had a nice mix of Rock and Metal it's just a shame that they never got the popularity that they definitely deserved! I will give this album 5 stars because that's all iTunes gives but honestly to me they deserve 10 stars! Saigon Kick rocks end of story!

A solid album from front to back. Great song writing and a great mix of musicianship by the band. I never tire of listening to this album.

Saigon Kick is a great band, sad history and bad choices but the music is always good. This album is proof, I think anyone who is open to new music would enjoy this album. The Lizard is probably one of their best, but I would look into every album done accept their last album. Some of their best albums are Saigon Kick, Water, Devil in the Details, and of course The Lizard. Also their demo tracks are interesting, however I am disappointed that these songs are not available on iTunes. Something that I hope will change. I hope to hear more from Saigon Kick, as the world is in need of some better music.

For those of you that want that one power ballad and don't consider the rest of the release should 1) realize that Saigon Kick didn't even write 'Love is On the Way', it's a remake, and 2) quit trying to collect all the power ballads that you can, only to go back in a time machine to your favorite skating rink with you girlfriend and have the best couple's skate of your life, realizing that this is a pitiful, desperate and futile event. This is a great CD. It was pretty heavy when it was released, and of course by today's standards it sounds dated (the production, anyhow). These guys were cursed by releasing something so great at the end of hair metal and the beginning of grunge. The guitarist on this is pretty ripping STILL and there are great harmonies all over this CD. This is more hard rock than anything, and the strong songwriting holds up. If you still need your power ballad fix, 'All I Want' is, to me, a much better song than 'Love Is On The Way'. Let your ears be the judge, ignore the radio and you'll probably like this a lot. Most people that I play this for can't believe that these guys actually wrote some great songs, they only mention 'that one song' (which I never heard on the radio, I lived out of the country). I wanted to give this 4 stars (because I don't like some stuff) but I will instead give this 5 stars to even out the roller disco one-hit-wonder seeker's pitiful comments. Rock on!

This is the best album from one of the most overlooked bands, ever. Too bad they're not still making music together.
