Franki Doll and her Broken Toys have a unique sound with biting lyrics. This is that kind of new artist that sends little chills down your back the first time you here them.

I had a hard time deciding which song was my favorite... the swing style rock of "A Song for the Devil" or "Not Even Close" ... I decided on Not Even Close because of the intensity and emotion that is portrayed in the song. I love this song as it tells a true story from the singer, Franki Doll's point of view. Not only is the CD is great, but the band is awesome live. An amazing band! Great stage performance! There are some bands that i like to listen to, but when I go to the shows I may hear great music, but the visuals... the live performance is not there. This band knows how to entertain live... using all the senses available. The energy on stage... Some songs I have seen the singer Franki come down and sit with random people in their booths... lightly touch them and move on, or mosh in her own mosh pit while singing... of crowd surf during her performance. Both guitar players and bass player i have seen going off into the crowd during their performance. Their drummer is just amazing with the beats on the drums. Just great fun! Much love to Franki Doll and her Broken Toys!! :) Pilgrim

Step Right Up is the perfect title for this album, because it is more than just a collection of songs. It's a showcase of what music this side of the sixties was supposed to be, and can still be. It's edgy, expressive, personal, fun, sexy and filled with energy! The final song on the album "Too Much To Think Today" is an amazing and revealing tribute to the "Broken Toy" in all of us. The end is sudden, haunting and perfect. "Shh...too much to think today."

Read the lyrics. Listen to the message behind the music. This album is a journey through a rock n' roll adventure carved in ink down the arms of a muse... (Don't miss the hidden track "Too Much To Think Today") I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as the band enjoyed creating it. (Yes... I reviewed my own album... don't hate - feel free to review it yourself) <3
