Slow - Single

The song "aretha" is so beautiful that it woke me from my sleep. Can't wait to get my hands on this album.

She has a wonderful voice and style and very much looking forward to more songs.

She does sound a lot like Karen Carpenter but with an edge...I am definitely going to look for more of her music in the future!

Why do we have to wait until September to buy the full album in the US?? It was already released for digital download in the UK on November 10, 2010 so there are no excuses.

This is refreshingly soulful. I first heard her in NPR fresh air and heard her interview and she seemed really passionate about her music. Her album is incredible, so if you want something pure, refreshing, and soulful get her album. Any Diane Burch fans out there?

Karen Carpenter redux

Is it a fluke that it was 10 years ago when "I Don't Know Why" was Nora Jones' break out single appeared? The public was begging for more and Nora and the industry flowed away from this genre. Why does the music industry keep shooting itself in the foot? Rumer proves that you don't have to scream to be heard and that the beauty of the human voice is the most compelling instrument of all. I laugh at those who complain that they have heard this before. It is a simpleton's statement. The same can be said about every genre played today--it's the biggest complaint about Nashville, Jazz, Hip Hop, Rap, Folk, Americana and Rock. And yet, Rumer has made what is old, new again. And I thank her and her producer for that. Great job.

A voice smoother than Karen Carpenter's butter. An instant classic. I can't wait for a full album.

I think I just have been. Once and awhile a great voice comes around and I just stumbled upon Rumer. She has brought back memories of Karen Carpentar and Dusty Springfield. I now can't wait for more from her.

This just drives me nuts. What is Warner waiting for? Release the LP in America. Now. We'll all buy it...
