It is difficult, if not impossible, to disassociate soundtracks from their film, or in this case the documentary. Equally impossible, for anyone with an ounce of politics and history in their blood (and I am not even American or live there) is the un-questioned sense of perspective and awe at what has been achieved here. For some equally great reason, the soundtracks mirrors exceptionally well the emotions and poniancy of some of the decisions made and explanations given. All in all, unforgettable documentary, equally splendid music in tunes with the emotions of the protagonist and our take on the scenes and events.

Is there any modern music better than a Philip Glass soundtrack? I think not. His music never gets old. Thankfully, it seems that he'll only write for movies that match his style (e.g. Thin Blue Line, The Hours). To me, The Fog of War soundtrack is on par with the beautiful Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in terms of complexity, drama, and emotion. If you are a hard-core Glass fan, I guarantee you will love this.

Love Phillip Glass!! Baraka = Beautiful Soundtrack. And this is just insane, the music takes you into this movie and the editing gives you that extra kick in the butt to make sure you hang on every note and word when you watch this film.
