If you like Karen Carpenter, you will like Rumer. They both have similar voice and songs. This is a good album.

I grew up listening to & loving Burt Bacharach. This album takes me back & her voice is truly a breath of fresh air. Stunning and relaxing!

In an era where rock and pop has become very stale, this songstress is a breath of fresh air. A voice that will stay with you for a long time, and the comparisons to Karen Carpenter are appropriate. I would love to hear her sing "Close To You". The entire album is enjoyable, in particular "Slow" and "Goodbye Girl". Along with Norah Jones and Katie Melua, Rumer makes the music of this era worth listening to again.

If you love Rumer and her perfect voice, go NOW and download her new project called Stereo Venus. It's Rumer's flawless vocals on top of sunny smooth loungy groovy music. I love it as much as her solo work and it's perfect music for the coming summer months. Fantastic!

Two years after it's release this Bacharach styled set gets a US release. Rumer has a rich, smooth vocal range that is easily comparable to the late Karen Carpenter. Every track here has a life of it's own and will be remembered for decades as one of the most intriguing talents to emerge ever ! If you want to listen to lush Bacharach styled arrangements with the perfect female vocals, then then is it !
