This song is amazing. Its edgy and its got heart. yes, I understand that most Mayday Parade fans were disappointed by Anywhere but Here. but Screw all of yall. And to you idiots that think Mayday Parade is only trying to please their "fangirls", you are woefully ill-informed. Mayday Parade's songs have meaning and have catchy but not poppy rings to them. They dont have to please the fangirls, a fangirl is gonna follow them around and buy and love every song they make no matter the quality. Yall dont know music, so GET OUTTA HERE
  • I cry when i relate the song to the music video

This song, like most of the great Mayday Parade has the sad part too it, which is revealed in the music video. The song does have happy parts which make me think of love and how great it is. The band is just heart warming.

This is the glimpse I've been waiting for. This song is hands down the best song theyve released since A Lesson In Romantics. Can't wait for the rest of the album!

As a fan since 'Tales Told By Dead Friends' , when Mayday Parade was playing to 20 kids at a junk yard in North Carolina, I distinctly remember being blown away when hearing them. Every song was filled with passion, in-your-face guitar licks, fun beats you could sway your hips to, hard hitting lyrics, and their corresponding clever vocal arrangements. My friends and I were all VERY excited about 'A Lesson In Romantics' which proved to be one of my all-time favorite albums. So much so that just a few days ago (9/6/11), a couple friends and I were singing (at the top of our lungs) along to that entire album, in the hour long drive home from Raleigh, NC. When 'Anywhere But Here' was set to release, we were all very excited. Pick a reason that the general public has thrown around, but that album doesn't have the extra 'Umph' so to speak, as their previous two. It grew on me over time. I'd find certain choruses in my head from time to time. But it's still not what I'd consider a true Mayday Parade sound. It sounds like they'd lost hope. The lyrics are here and there, catchy choruses are dumbed down, it's a much cleaner sound over all, and that's not what I think about when I hear Mayday Parade. It's the raw punk-pop mixture of the clean and the thrashing that makes me wanna dance. I can't express my inner child enough when explaining the joy that burst from somewhere around my heart (as in an immediate, adrenaline, honest to God physical rush of excitement) when hearing 'Oh Well, Oh Well' for the first time. I called friends. I texted friends. I tweeted the world. I facebooked my mom. I've been playing that single loud and proud for everyone who comes over. Usually with an initial inquiry such as "Have you heard the new Mayday Parade single yet? ... They're back." as I'm pressing play in iTunes. Let your surround sound system roar with greatness. Keep it up guys. Thank you.

This song is nothing like A Lesson in Romantics! Mayday Parade will NEVER be as good as they were when they had Jason! Besides, how can you tell how good the new album is going to be when you've all only heard one song!? Bands release their best song as the single to sell more albums, it worked decently with Anywhere but Here, but I'm not getting pumped up for this new album and neither should those who actually liked the original Mayday Parade. They are a whole different band, with a whole different sound compared to when Jason Lancaster was leading.
